This video showing Nexus-One Android phone, iPhone, and iPAD2, demonstrates the following key points: – From video1, the user had created a MACRO (to control his SamsungTV and Panasonic DVD player) using iPHONE + IR dongle. Now, what if he has an iPAD or Android phone which doesn’t have a compatible docking connector? This video2 shows how he can wirelessly “copy” the MACRO he had created earlier to his iPAD2, and use built-in Wifi/Bluetooth features to control his home CE devices. Note that , without an IR dongle, iPAD and Android need a “bridge” to convert their wifi or bluetooth commands to IR signals to control CE devices; this bridge is the PCB (printed-circuit board) shown on the right side of this video. Pay close attention to the red, blinking IR LED’s on this PCB when the user sends wifi or bluetooth commands by touching the MACRO “SamsungTV_PanaDVD”.

Did you ever dream of a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen Logitech Harmony remote? Well now you can have one, sort of. I took this as an opportunity to show off the Logitech Harmony Android app that works in conjunction with the Logitech Revue (Google TV) set top box to deliver full universal remote control functionality to this 7 inch Android tab.
